Lawyer said "any lawyer could have prepped this hearing in an hour". Pretty much admitted he didn't do much prep, I guess. They obviously believed that based on the pre-hearing reports, parole would be granted. He also called Jeffrey Felix is a fraud.

reading it now. chapter 2 so far.
all it talks about to this point is him saying how much he loved, yeah they problems, he addresses the night she was beaten, he claims to be black out drunk but does recall being physical, just not beating her. she cried by his bedroom door to let him and wouldn't take no for answer bla bla bla....definitely painting himself nicely.

The man's 70 years old, claims he isn't in the greatest of health, and still has 24 years of a 33 year sentence to serve. It's almost a certainty he'll never finish serving his sentence. Remember, during parole, you're still technically serving out your sentence. You just do it outside of a jail with restrictions and supervision.
EDIT: It appears that the length of his parole could be shortened for good behavior. So, if he stays clean and ends up having to only serve half of the sentence after good time off, he'd be on parole for about 5 or 6 years in that case.

he was probably stoned on coke and drunker than Cooter Brown. If he was a habitual wife abuser; he probably did lose it in a jealous rage and slash them dead.

I think he will be 100% free on Oct 1st.

I don't know the terms of his parole, but usually it involves supervision, regular and random home visits, drug and/or alcohol testing, restrictions on travel, possible restrictions on who you can associate with, maybe curfews, etc.
It isn't complete freedom, but it sure as hell is better than prison.

The conditions of Juice's parole allow him to "consume alcoholic beverages but not to excess." O.J. will occasionally be tested for it, but if his BAC is under .08 ... he's in the clear.
Simpson's not allowed to use any controlled substances without a prescription from a doctor, and the same goes for marijuana. BUT, if he's prescribed medicinal marijuana ... he's got a green light to the ganja.
Here's the wild card ... he must obey all laws. One member of the parole board made it clear ... even a small lapse could land him back in prison.
The rest of his conditions are pretty standard -- don't associate with convicted felons, no weapons and make regular check-ins with his parole officer.
Not bad for a guy who was looking at 24 more years of hard time just hours ago.

I knew all of this which is why I said that. In a few years he won't be a ward of the state.
To me, he looked awfully good walking into that hearing for being 70. A running back for many years and spending the last 9 not exactly being comfortable.
This is the same guy who claimed his arthritic condition made it impossible to carry out those acts.....23 years ago.
