I think as long as you aren’t expecting anything crazy out of line with the pricing and just want some bulk variety it can be fine. Any slight savings off set by receiving a few you won’t like

It is a poor value, period. If you "win" the premium watch it isn't like they send you a new Rolex Pepsi GMT it is a sad old Air King etc.

If you are interested in inexpensive watches you want to get several of them for pocket lint go to WatchUSeek and look at the Best of Ali Express in the Affordable sub-forum. I'll link below. It has been going on for 6 years and has over 30,000 posts. Just go to the last few pages.

There are a lot of guys in that thread that watches in the price range are their sandbox. They know the manufacturers, sellers, and they know the Chinese movements. They take chances so if you spend a little time there you don't have to. You also get watches that you actually like in the colorway you like the most. I have never bought a watch from China but I find the thread fascinating and it is actually my favorite thread on WUS and I usually check it and read a little every couple of days. Do a little research in that thread and you can get better watches that have been vetted and only get watches you want compared to Watch Gang.

A lot of the AE watches are going to be homages to other more expensive watches but not all are. Maybe it is more fun to have someone curate the watches you get but picking them yourself will make the wearing part a lot more fun overall. Just don't expect watches that last a lifetime and accept you will get a dud now and then and you can have a lot of fun with watches and not have to spend a lot of money.
