Sounds like a lemon. Tag IMO is like Bose for the watch world. Nothing wrong with them and they will last. They are good quality but expensive for what you get. It's mainly advertising. Omega is getting close to that now. They upped all of their pricing since the Coaxial movement.

Also, are Omega ADs firm on that msrp price? Will they work with customers?

Say broke, what's your opinion on purchasing a hesalite Speedy Pro second hand?

Love them. And there are good deals used on the Speedy Pro (unless it's white)

What would you say is a fair price for a watch at 90% condition or so?

Around $2000-$2500 and I think you can do better than that with patience.

Yeah scammers. NEVER fricking send money via Western Union or Bank Draft. Always use Paypal (NO GIFT) and use the credit card option.

And just to be safe, run it by me first. I'll tell you whether it looks safe

And they should have. That's a really nice in-house movement.

Have had 3 Tags in my lifetime, and none ever gave me a lick of trouble if maintained properly.

My current one was bought in 2003. Still works fine with yearly cleaning and batt. change.

Solid. Do you find there are a ton of counterfeits of that model out there or just some franken hack jobs?

I've never seen a fake. I've never heard of them being faked.

I much prefer vintage Heuer chronographs. Modern TAG watches are hideous IMO.

and since we have a watch thread going...My latest obsession is a Omega Speedmaster "Soccer Timer" with the internal "roulette" bezel I'm pretty sure I'm going to convince myself to get one. Not sure if i like the white bezel or grey one though.

The Heuer calculator is one of the best looking watches ever made.

Who gives a shite if it works? You have a cellphone that tells the time. As long as it's pretty and makes people look at you then it didn't "crap out", it's still functioning.

I hadn't seen those before. They look pretty interesting and unique. I would definitely wear.

I love the Speedy, but I don't want to have to wind it.

They make an automatic (ref 3510.50), but the one to get IMO is the 3572.50, which has a display back.

I think the movement looks good enough to justify it.
