That's one of the dumbest things I've ever seen on here

I drive through the carwash every single day. My car is never dirty.

I can polish out every small imperfection on one Saturday twice a year. I've got better things to do with my time than handwash my car every day. I'm not in high school anymore.

i use a cheap car wash & a bucket & brush
- armor all wheel brite (easy easy gets rid of most brake dust) and a wheel brush
- meguirs polishing cleaner..because i'm lazy this cleans and waxes at the same time..just leaves a haze on your car you can buff out
- newspapers to clean inside glass
- microfiber cloth to dry windows without water marks
- vacuum interior & a little 303 on the dash to help preotect it

takes maybe 30 minutes and it looks 90% as good as people who go crazy with claybars and multiple coats of wax and polishers/buffers, etc.

How is this possible? You can literally make it as clean as you want it when you DIY.

using the wrong cleaners and not understanding the importance of having wax on your paint.

I usually do it by hand but run it through a car wash if I'm feeling lazy. But only the touchless.

Not a chance in hell I'm letting the dirty brushes at the car wash touch my paint.

By hand for sure.

I detailed cars as a side hustle in high school and college. Got a DA polisher and a shite ton of chemicals. Hand wash with 2 buckets Saturday mornings after yard work. Wax and seal every 6-8 weeks. Clay, Buff and polish 3x a year.

Of course I also am young and don't have kids. Therefore I have the time to do that shite.

I pay $35 a month to get the extreme wash membership at geaux clean. Can go thru it as much as I want and it does a pretty damn good job.

I usually wax it by hand every couple of months too.

Has to be this. I'm just using Dawn & water. I may not be rinsing it off quickly enough after washing with the soapy sponge/mitt. Or changing the water in the bucket often enough while going around. It will look clean while it's wet, then dry with dirty water drop prints.

It's not something that gives me much satisfaction, so I'd rather pay Benny's a few bucks.

Anybody have good feedback on the ceramic pro? I've been tossing the idea around of getting my truck coated with it.
