if its a front load washer, they should have a little door thing, mine is at the bottom. it should have a little plug you pull out. that is most likely clogged with lent and stuff. put a pan under it water will come out.

That should fix it, someone told me about it when mine wouldnt drain.

Clogged. The impeller is magnetic. Easy to stop from spinning.

Funny you mention that. Just picked one up.

Non residential. Commercial unit.
Can accept a coin box, but doesn't have it.
Only has three settings and a start button.

Though it will probably go in my shop. I don't know what is wrong with it. Jcpenny's gave it to me when I was picking up machines for another customer.

I pimp Speed Queen on here, but I don't want everyone to buy them. I need people to buy GEs and Samsungs so I can make money.
No money fixing a machine that never needs fixing.

I had a GE Profile which would occasionally not drain or spin. The issue was the air tube that ran along the outside of the drum which is attached to the water level sensor. When that tube gets clogged, the tub won’t drain. I used to run a straightened coat hanger through it to knock the gunk out. Then it would work like new.

Consider this possibility before purchasing a new washer.

Good news is you didn't post a code, so that means your washer isn't an expensive loss.

Stupid question, how does a sock get from inside the tub to the pump?

Sock alien must have dropped it on his way out of washer. People think they steal your one sock out of the dryer, nope them little bastards take it from the washer. Napoleon probably has hundreds of stories about them sock thieving bastards.

In a top load there is a half inch gap between the turning inner drum's top and the top of the stationary outer drum. It's hard but it happens.

In a front load It's gotta be magic or something because that gap is very very tiny.
Coins are a bigger problem on front loaders, that's why they almost all have built in coin traps.
(Always best to have sure front loader has a door to access pump, unless you live in NOLA area, then get one without a door so I can make $$ fixing it)

The real answer is, in spin everything is pushed to the sides by the centrifuge like effect. Sometimes items slide to the seal and are pushed through it.

Clogs of pumps are more common than failures, though with the relative inexpensive price of a pump, the price between a pump rebuild and cleaning is about the same as a new pump.

Yep. Washers steal socks, dryers steal money.
I've never not found coins inside a dryer.
