I have the book, gave the year 2020, described the symptoms even named Wauhan has the coty of origin. There is a existing thread on the OT with the relevant pages from the book.

Actually he isn’t.

Dean Koontz wrote a book in 1981 describing a flu like virus that started in the Wuhan province in the year 2020.

He didn’t predict the virus per se, but he wrote about a deadly virus originating in Wuhan in 2020. Obviously the virus written about was different than what we have today. Specifically the 100% mortality rate, but that’s a hell of a shot nailing that a virus in 2020 will become a pandemic and originate in Wuhan, no?

First, it's worth pointing out that in the original 1981 edition of "The Eyes of Darkness," this biological weapon was called "Gorki-400," in reference to a Russian locality. The name of the weapon was changed to "Wuhan-400" when the book was released again in 1989, according to the South China Morning Post.

Still kinda crazy that he changed the name to Wuhan in '89, I agree.
