I don't know, was it necessary for those bastards to sucker punch dive bomb Pearl Harbor when we weren't even involved?

I'm almost positive this isn't the first time you've made this Charmin soft thread. Yes, it was necessary. Anything else?

I’ll leave this here:
Japanese soldier

TLDR Japanese soldier fought for 29 years after the war on a remote island. He killed several civilians and policemen believing that the war was still going on

So you either think the Japanese would have surrendered without the bomb, or you think they would not have fired a single shot at invading US troops.

One million casualties was what was predicted for taking the main Island. We didnt have that many guys. The resistance at Okinawa was what got the main Island nuked.

no, but the narrative that the USA are always the good guys is just factually incorrect given that we obliterated 3 cities for no legitimate military reason.

Militarily, it may not have been needed but it certainly transformed world opinion on who the Japanese were and how they would be treated in a Post WWII world.

If anything, the bombs justified their future use more often. Just compare the thriving exuberant nation of Japan today to the countries of conflict we have not dropped a nuke on since then to see the varying outcomes of their respective societies.
