CNN was my go to news channel up until about 2015, they were the go to news channel for breaking news. Sadly they feel off a progressive cliff and haven’t been the same since. Give me a news channel without the opinions of people that don’t matter and just report the truth.

CNN used to have a sports ticker that you could get all your sports scores from. Long before ESPN had one. When you could only find the scores to all the games in the paper the next day or ESPN sports center. Even then they only showed certain scores. CNN had them up to date as they happened.

My dad would watch this channel all day long. Would read the newspaper twice.

I have no idea how you could watch old school Headline News all day long.
The whole point is to catch it in the morning, maybe on lunch break, and then maybe in the evening and be caught up on the highlights of the day’s events.
They literally wouldn’t update the information until after the pre-packaged 15-30 minute block had run for 3-4 hours.
