We’re you the guy I told to call the park ranger about me having my dog off leash?

So if this is true that gives you roughly 5-7 seconds minimum to decide what to do.
Did you consider picking Rocky up (to protect him from Cujo)? Would have been able to get a better feel for the other dogs intent by doing this. If he continued on in attack mode your dog is in a better/safer place and you still have the option of booting Cujo if need be

Yeah, the other dog owner was a fricktard for not having his on a leash and is at fault for putting everyone involved in a shitty situation. But was the other dog REALLY in attack mode....who knows? If I feel he was, then I apply the boot as well. Just seems by your description that you had a few solid ticks of the clock to process it all and maybe over-reacted.

I wasn't there, didn't see it so can't say for sure.

You’re 53 and still think like a teenager.

Here’s what you need to learn: you aggressively walk straight at the dog, stomp your feet, yell “go away” while motioning with your arm. 9/10 times, the dog will back down. This is what any man should know, how to handle dogs. If the dog doesn’t stop, then by all means kick him. But you failed to do this. Instead, you got scared and kicked him and then came on here to brag about it and try to make your failure seem justified.

No I don't, not even close. You're either intentionally pretending to be obtuse to look cool or you're just an idiot who shouldn't breed or vote. Well, either way you shouldn't breed or vote.

OP overreacted, period. I'd step up and protect my dog. You might not. Fine, that's your decision. I have no clue who you are but I'll bet I have more time and experience both training and being around dogs than you ever will. Most dog owners don't understand dogs, and it appears OP is one of this.

And the idea that just standing aside and not making eye contact and taking the blame when someone kicks my dog means I'm a 16 year old high school sophomore tells me a lot about what kind of person you are.

God, we need a plague to wipe out people like you.

Absolutely 100% correct. Thank you.

I might have kicked the dog if he seemed threatening. Absolutely if he attacked my dog. Wouldn't try to hurt it.

Owner's problem for not having it on a leash. I would have knuckle checked the owner too if necessary but would have attempted to avoid this.

I don’t have to learn anything. I have no idea why you are responding to me.

People like you need to learn to follow the law.

You should have been packing and shot the dog. And then when the owner came up, pistol whip him and check his wallet for cash.

You want to cripple someone. You stated you had the home address.

Sorry. But you are wrong.

But not seeing that is pretty much how teenagers act.

I'd have shot that mofo and not batted an eye. Left a Sonic gift card for good measure.

About to drop two neighbor dogs this weekend and won't shed a tear.

You're a liar.

You may think you're a dog trainer because your pup will "sit" when you hold a piece of a treat in front of him, but your comments (and many others) make it clear why a man's foot is a fabulous tool to protect his own hounds against an extension of your stupidity.

Btw, before the page refreshed you had already replied. Are you on reply standby like some kind of a gotdamn minuteman missile crew or something? Chit.

Exactly.

It's a dog eat dog world out there. Keep your property to yourselves and handle your chit like a man ought to do. I ain't waiting on any man's larger dog to become aggressive with my smaller one before I act.

The son of a bitch should've stayed out of the problem area and there wouldn't have been any problems.

If the rules apply to me then a diva mf'er who skirts them ought not get mad when I apply the rules myself. If he won't keep his hound a leash, then I will put his arse on MY leash.

Brought your dog to a dog park and were so afraid of other dogs that you punted a dog in the face when it came to play with your dog.

What a pussy.

Put your big arse dog on a leash or pound sand. Can’t stand these big dog owners that can’t handle the responsibility. I hope they don’t have children
