Maybe
But back then, if you didn't cheat on your wife you were gay.

Cary Grant was (allegedly) cheap but the sumbitch's handlers knew how to have him dressed.

Johnny supposedly treated Doc and Ed pretty badly. Who knows?

I kind of find his whole couch thing of making or breaking a comedians career to be a bit assholish.

I'm pretty sure he used to beat the shite out of his wife. Top o the line class.

I think people today really underestimate how big Carson was. I believe his retirement, which was 25 years ago last week, was inflection point in this country's history. For 30 years, the country had a shared experience at the end of the day. That no longer happens.

I wish the deadheads on the nightshows now actually watched and took notes from Carson.
shite these days is just an hour of opinion news with celebrities doing commercial promos.

I remember my parents "staying up" for Carson's monologue, then immediately going to bed when it was over. That opening theme and the curtains will always take me back to childhood. He was the glue for entertainment in America his whole career. I've heard about his personal life but on that show he was smooth, suave, professional, and had the quickest wit in the history of television. Now we have people like Seth Meyers...

And Jimmy Fallon talking about old men's balls hanging so low. Is that how he wants to be remembered?
