How much does W&J pull in?
It seems they both should be pretty rich if they've been highly rated syndication jocks for decades but it seems like there's some business savviness issues holding them back.

Orgeron. Clay Higgins. Condon.
Maybe it's time to seek greener pastures.

Well, for once in a long time my ride down to New Orleans the other morning was nice to not have those two jackasses on.
They had some good tunes playing.

I guess they do ok, probably a decent low to mid 6 figure number. Besides Houston (and I think they're only on AM there) they aren't in any major markets. Def not in the neighborhood of Stern, he pulls in $90 million.

You mean, the same shite they've been playing for 25 years?
Yeah. I love hearing Dude Looks Like A Lady for the 50,000th time.

400K per market plus talent fees for all their live spots

Hey I hate Walton and Johnson as much as the next guy since being forced to listen to them in nasty middle school carpools in the mid eighties but I did love Walton and the Other Guy when Walton and Johnson broke up.
I remember listening to Walton and the other guy working in Baton Rouge in '94-'95 time frame. That show was great. The other dude did impressions and was way funnier than Johnson and the same 3 played out characters that he's been doing for 35 years.
Question, who was that other voice guy who took Johnson's place? He really made the show decent. Does anyone know his name and whatever happened to him?
He reminded me of when Billy West was on Stern's payroll. West really punched up the show like Walton's guy did.

Condon Uncensored with Richard Condon and Anna Betts will move to morning drive and Condon will be reunited with radio veteran Scott Robb. Robb and Condon were one of the first morning shows on Eagle 98.1 over 20 years ago. The show will be music intensive program that includes sports updates from 104.5 ESPN’s Jordy Culotta along with traffic reports from Baton Rouge and Lafayette. The show will air from 5:30 am -10:00 am weekday mornings.

Why would anyone listen to 98.1 any longer?
LSU sports maybe

Shortly after Walton and Rumble got booted off the air in the early 1990's, the Times Picayune ran a story on Walton and he talked about how he couldn't affor to pay his mortgage and I think he might have had to sell a collector's car he had to help make ends meet. Maybe they were getting paid well but Walton wasn't saving much of it.

Yeah and followed it up by beating Stern's arse in ratings everywhere they went head to head.
And you know this because Walton and/or Johnson said it? Just like they falsely claim on their website to have been a team since 1983. The truth is, there were several years in the early 1990's where they were not a team.
Who had better ratings when both shows were on the air in New York City? Dallas? Hint: Walton and Johnson got run out of both of those markets.
Stern took Sirius radio from a second fiddle satellite radio company to a position where it acquired the XM juggernaut. Honestly, do you think W&J could do that?
Proven liars who are bitter because they think they are more talented than other more successful shows. In their early years, they bought recorded bits like Leave It To Beaver from Stern yet are somehow better?

their show became insufferable.
whining and moaning about obama, liberals, mexicans, etc...
they became a poor mans Rush Limbaugh

I agree with you. At least 98.1 has a little better rotation over the last 5 years. It's not a complete circle of Peter Frampton, Supertramp, Steve Miller, and Bad Company.

solid move by Guaranty here, the people that like Condon also typically enjoy W&J mainly for "telling it like it is" or you know being passive aggressively racist and Condon probably comes cheaper.

I would imagine extremely cheaper in terms of locking him up. They won't get as much advertisement, though.

There was a time a few years ago they were on in Kansas City. Not sure if still are.
