He pulled the same stunt in Wisconsin in 2008 with A protected bear - shot it illegally dragged it back 40 miles into the legal zone and then try to report it as a good kill. Then he lied under oath and ultimately took probation and a fine.

who's that? He's been convicted in the past?
Yep, for lying about poaching a bear.

Now, imagine the "he was a good boy" responses by the same people now claiming to need a full trial verdict before they'll assign even the possibility of wrongdoing if this felon looked just slightly different.

So the president of zimbabwe eats a baby elephant and has a giant old lion just like cecil killed and mounted for his birfday.
To him this is all a way to earn some money. Americans are making a big deal about a lion killing... there must be a way to profit from that.
Meanwhile every citizen of Zimbabwe is thinking the same thing: "Who the hell is Cecil and why are Americans so upset?" and "I'm hungry."

Of course it is.
Just would like to see at least some rationality in the actions of a government though. Especially one that wants to try a U.S. citizen.
Oh, and they have arrested the guides.
And released them on 1000 dollar bail.

Well he's definitely a douchebag.
I doubt the outrage would be much different if he didn't have that history though.

I said the same thing when everyone flipped out about the tulane kids killing the goat.
If they are concerned about the lives of goats, go check out the slaughter and sacrifices at the end of ramadan.

Which oddly enough is just over what most Zimbabweans make a year.
Americans will raise millions of dollars to bring a lion killer to justice... meanwhile an entire country starves.

That article you linked is crazy.

Despite the global media coverage of Cecil's killing, the big cat's untimely demise has gone largely unnoticed in Zimbabwe, where average annual income is just over $1,000 and unemployment is higher than 80 percent.
This is pretty funny - "Book of Mormon" level funny. Ricky Gervais is leading a fricking pilgrimage to Zimbabwe to remember Cecil and leading wealthy millionaire supermodels and activists past shantytowns and starving Africans in their Prada sneakers and bottled Perrier

Well, it appears you've done your homework on ole Baw.
If that's all true, he is an unethical hunter. But that doesn't make going on a guided hunt and shooting the 'wrong lion' unethical. Blame the PH.

Nobody in Zimbabwe gives even the tiniest frick about this lion.
Does anyone remember a while back when a Lion pulled that lady from Game of Thrones out of the safari vehicle and ate her?
Here is Cameron Hanes and Joe Rogan talking about this fiasco.

I have to say that I really hope South Park tears into the Social Justice Warriors this season. While I agree with some of the stuff they're saying, they just take it way too far and then completely forget about their so-called cause the very next week. It is ridiculous.
Jezebel/Gawker's war on fraternities is about to kick off IMO

That outrage was the most ridiculous. They ate the damn goat, and when you eat a goat, it goes through a very similar means of death. Plus I'd say more goats were killed that way and still are in almost every place in the world.

It's not. It's par for the course.
People in this country are crazy.
They literally ate a bunch of safari animals and talked about how bad it was when white people do the same.

Yeah it's a joke I was just picturing the South Park cartoonage to go along with that mental image tho.
