Why was he filming? Trying to get his ticktocker or tweeter moment?

I’d be hesitant to comply with anyone shoving a camera in my face.

When in doubt go with it. And you’re probably right, but I bet it has a high school diploma thanks to “social promotion”.

What about the Karen with a camera filming the whole thing?

Or would he be referred to as a Kevin? What’s the male name of a Karen?

I’m always suspicious of what actually happens in an interaction when it starts filming in the middle of it. I wouldn’t be remotely surprised if guy filming the interaction was being a dick or something else triggered the kid not doing it. I’ve never had an issue with them not wanting to count my change.

That said, I counted so much fricking change at my first job when I worked at a roller skating rink concession stand. Kids would show up with the contents of their piggybank to buy shite.

Not sure if related but some cashiers regard it as insulting to put change on the counter.

Then don’t take a job as a cashier. You don’t get to drag your “culture” into the workplace and refuse to pick my money up from the counter. Screw these entitled idiots.

Do you mean the guy trying to pay for gas with change and possibly provoking the reaction while conveniently not recording that part of the interaction? Or do you mean the Walmart employee who may be being rude or who may be reacting in a measured and appropriate manner to a POS?

I can't really make a judgment based on what I see.

Looks like a Wal-Mart gas station.

I rarely go into Wal-Mart anymore, but several years ago I decided to get some deli meat while I was in one and the person doing the cutting didn't know what 3/4's of a pound was.

I found out recently you can put handfuls of change in the self check out machines. You just lift the coin slot up.
I do this when I have ashtray change I want to get rid of. Rather than Coinstar.

I hate the phrase "lifehack" but thats pretty cool to know. Coinstart takes 10% iirc.

I only just figured out the selfcheckout can take a whole stack of bills at once instead of me feeding it one at a time like an old fricker.

A cashier who won't count change would have a very short career if I was his/her boss.

If you don't know how to count change, well bless your heart, I can teach you. If you are unwilling to count change, I'll fire you.

You can also put a stack of bills in the paper money slot. I had to use the slf checkout with cash the other day and it felt like a drug deal.
