I'm sure that it started that way. What would you suggest when one very specific product kept getting stolen?

SO Walmart has to just eat more theft dollars and will pass it on to everybody else.

Can they still have security or would getting busted for shoplifting offend someone?

Let me clarify: things being locked up in a case where you have to find a non-existent employee to take it out for you is absurd.

Having a device that the cashier can remove is reasonable.

It’s usually because people steal them. Is this not something you considered?

I’m sure they didn’t start off locked up
