There's already been more than one mistake, just in this scenario. How many more do you think will come to light from others this dude has done stuff similar to?

If this guy was willing to be over the top shitty to a student who by all accounts was one of the best in the school over her twerking at a party it's a virtual guarantee there is a trail of kids he's fricked over in the past who didn't have the academic and social standing to fight back.

I actually think more were upset about the religious interrogation rather than pulling of the recommendation.

It's the vindictiveness for me. It's the traumatizing a teenage girl, who is by all accounts a great kid, a wonderful student...doing so from that position of authority, without a parent present, because he could, and is probably used to wielding that power unchecked as he pleases. It's that this was not his job, and there are probably kids there that can't read, are gang-bangers, truant, etc. and this is what he focuses on?

Do we agree or disagree that what he did is a fireable offense since it opens the parish to lawsuits?

If yes, then he will have to decide between fire or resign (most gov workers get this option).

If no, do you really want school officials judging your kids morals And religious ideas for something that wasn’t any way involved with the school ? You would be ok with the principal making your kid cry because he disagrees with your morals and your child’s?

The scholarship $ (and it’s just an endorsement ) has really no bearing on this whatsoever.

If he and Becnel resign immediately, keeping their pensions or whatever, I think this gets wrapped up. The girl is still gonna get paid but that at least stops the bleeding from the school system's standpoint.

Luckily for my entertainment value at the very least, I don't think that's going to happen. For whatever reason, someone came up with this leave of absence thing like that was a valid response and it's now going to cost them even more.

In the end, he and the assistant woman will either resign or be fired. That is an absolute definite thing that is going to happen and everybody on God's green earth is aware of this except for the braindead LPSS admins. So I hope this "leave of absence" continues. Because the ACLU is about to be here and they're going to skullfrick this entire situation. Do the people of Livingston want that? Because the thunder is about to be called down. Do you all WANT that? Do you all NEED that?

The ball is in the LPSS court. Tell this clown and his lapdog to GTFO or risk the entire parish school board office being swept out.

How do we know what was said in the meeting?

Did the girl record it all

He acknowledged in his reinstatement letter everything she claimed. Even inflicting his religious beliefs on her. Dumb arse. Slam dunk for a federal lawsuit.

Well he has one good trait we can point to.

I realize this is your interpretation of it. But what about it was as bad as the act itself?

Once again we see eye to eye.

This man openly admitted his faults yet lets string him up.

We need to relax a bit and think and calm down.

Yeah I was curious why there wasn't more info said about the scholarship details in any of the interviews. Then I came across this nugget about it being a Senate Scholarship and not a traditional university scholarship like we all assumed.

I did the leg work hoping to shed a little clarity on the situation. Ive never even been to Walker and couldnt point it out on a map.

Why are you trying so hard to downplay what this guy did?

Im not, he messed up.

I am merely arguing he shouldny lose his entire pension over this mistake.

I am by no means defending him from being a moron, he is a moron, that is 100% clear.

I'm going to once again ask where anyone is saying that? But I've made that same post several times in response to you and you've yet to reply.

Well he definitely isn't the principal at Walker either way.

Now leave of absence and resignation for a state employee are the same thing in your mind? Holy shite

If he is indeed being offered a sabbatical until the end of the school year, a term for her lawsuit will probably be he get fired and his pension revoked.

Any word on the Becnel woman? St Pierre was the big fish that made a logic defying decision to act on this, but by all accounts, she was the catalyst pushing for it.

I don't see a poster advocating for a revocation in that post.

I think someone in an adult position of leadership within LP needs to sit the LPPS board, principal, and Ms. Becnel (whatever in the world her title is) and explain the facts of life to them.

My take is that the Principal is trying to be a slicky boy and let this incident age off. Principal needs to drop his retirement papers effective with the end of his leave of absence, do it publically and quickly. Same thing for Ms. Becnel. They want to play holy roller, go teach at some "Christian" school.

Legal conusel from the Timoent's need to talk to adult leadership in LP and explain how bad this could get.

Next LPSB meeting is October 19, 2023.

I suspect there will be something on the agenda for the Board to enter into Executive Session for personnel matters.

Like this guy did... AFTER he got caught.

Difference is Walker High School is a public school, not a church the principal owned. It doesn't quite work out the same way, my brothers and sisters.

But like I said, I hope he plays hardball. We all need a laugh.
