So that's what I was getting at. I get the mom and daughter are pissed, they are embarrassed. Rightfully so. But at this point, going elbow deep on the guy for his actions, now, is a moot point. He's out anyway. They girl has gotten all the things returned to her that she lost. Everyone involved needs to move on.

Fuk all of that.

Go in for the kill.

God damn. Is this an LP thing? My kids school has 2 assistants but that is only because the elementary and middle school is on the same campus.

Just checked Dutchtown and Central. Both with 4 asst principals. Seems to be common with large high schools.

ETA: Live Oak has 3 asst principals plus an instructional coach

It's a school size thing. Walker High has north of like 2200 students.

international coverage as far away as India

She's lucky to only lose a scholarship she wasn't even guaranteed. In India they would probably kill her and those other girls in the video for shaking their asses with half their titties hanging out.

If he goes outside the parish to get hired, thats on them to make a judgement call to hire him or not. But he's gonna have to convince them he's changed.

Life is unfair sometimes- had he not made the decision he made, his pension wouldn't even be in question. But lifes tough get a helmet.

and for the record, idc one way or the other if his pension gets taken away or not. Having worked there, and been around him enough- I have my own opinions about who he is as a person, I have never thought that highly of the man. He'll snake his way into a leadership role before too long

You have to wonder how someone that doesn't know you can't hold a student for hours lecturing them on the Bible in public school has made it this far in life...(and who knows what else he has done, lots of comments hinting he has a record of this stuff), but is that someone you'd take a risk on? He would need so much training and rehab... Kind of like the other thread of the high ranking Exxon exec facing sexual abuse charges with 2 hookers at the La Quinta...sure if Exxon fires him, he could try to get a job at another company but is that someone who is worth the risk? Similarly, he is an idiot, a bad decision maker, that would need so much work just to understand how wrong he is. You should already "get it" by this point in the game. That dude is probably 50+ years old, not his first year in public education.

He posted a long apology claiming to have apologized to the parents and the girl, etc. The mom and the girl flat out denied that ever happened.

Got it. Thanks.

I was wondering about that...this guy is digging himself deeper and deeper. There is too much outside interest for LPPS to do LPPS crap.

Maybe they're allowing him to save some face by taking a permanent leave instead of being fired. I don't think this just goes away if they try to wait it out though.

Your criteria on how things should be handled is “oh, they’ll be fine so we can drop the matter”?

I honestly think this is part of the problem now.

We blow things up so much now and put them on blast it turns them into much bigger issues than they had to be.

He messed up, no doubt. He will pay for it. But he shouldnt have to forfeit his pension for a bad lapse of judgement.

this did not happen 20 years ago.

Fact, end of story

Repeat after me… SCHOLAR SHIP.

If she permanently lost the scholarship because of this, that is a massive financial loss and potentially the difference between attending that school and a different one.

What massive scholarship did she have?

Becuase way too many things get ignored or brushed under the rug if they don't get attention. 10 years ago this girl would be shite out of luck and maybe gets some relief from a lawsuit a year or two later. Seriously doubt this was a one time lapse in judgment.

My guess is he has his years in and will take leave until it runs out and then retire. That’s what they usually do.

Running out that sick bank that he cant covert over to his retirement if he enrolled after 2007.
