whatever means available when you are being assaulted by two random men in a parking lot whom are not in uniforms, do not have id ckearly present, and don't identify themselves (based on what we see in the video).

That's clearly false. Not sure if you're lying, or simply didn't watch the video. They clearly identify themselves as Loss Prevention before the stabbing. Now you can argue that Loss Prevention doesn't qualify them to detain him in the way they did. But to claim he thought they were 2 random men assaulting him is blatantly false.

Oh, I don't doubt this for a minute. And I'd be willing to bet you'd do the same even if you recognized they were security. That's my point about some people in society.

Maybe it's that everyone is on edge.

When bottom of the barrel security guards are acting like riot police and shoplifters are stabbing people, maybe it's a sign we need to chill out. There's nothing at wal-Mart worth that sort of nonsense.

So you DO condone pulling out the knife and stabbing.

Lets not act like he was some delinquent with a knife in his pocket. It was a box cutter.

This is where we part ways. I'm sick of chilling and letting thieves steal, resulting in us hard working people having to foot the bill by paying increased prices. It all adds up, I promise you.

And the nonsense to me is pulling out a boxcutter and stabbing security guards when you get caught. There's no excuse you, or anyone, can provide me that thinks this is acceptable behavior.

We just see things from different perspectives.

Let's say that was your kid. Let's say he was being a stupid punk and pocketed a candy bar or CD or some stupid shite.

Do you really think that gung ho and dangerous escalation by second rate security guards is warranted? That continued assault After the kid is incapacitated is somehow a positive?

I've watched the video three times now. Only after they started assaulting him do they mumble anything about loss prevention. they Never show any kind of ID or anything, and it doesn't seem like the kid Escalated before their reckless actions.

They need to save that cowboy shite for the movies not real life.

do you honestly think that if tomorrow every single instance of shoplifting or theft from Walmart stopped but the prices will change at all?

All the guy did was forget to pay for the half case of water in the bottom part of his shopping cart.

I wouldn't blame the security guards for my kids actions. Ever. I guess we're different like that. I teach my kids to accept responsibility for their actions, good and bad.

Would you tell your kid that if someone unlawfully starts salting them they can't react in an appropriate manner?

Yes. If you know anything about economics, you would too. Thieves, on the other hand, convince themselves that the little they take has no effect on anyone else. It's a sense of entitlement, they believe their actions don't effect anyone else.

Come on, fr33, you're not a dummy. You should know this as well. What gives?

I tell my kids that if police, or any authority, accuses them of something, even falsely, to be respectful and comply. I will make sure to help them sort it out later.

At least I've gotten you to admit that you believe stabbing security guards who have identified themselves is an appropriate reaction. I wish the best for your kids. I'm not telling my kids that this is appropriate.

Knowing that the economics of people is greed I seriously doubt it that overhead they all of a sudden would drop prices or raise employees wages. It's the principle of getting the most for the least.

And I guarantee you the legal fees resulting from this foobar situation are going to outweigh the financial savings that loss prevention team might have ever saved.

You're wrong.

But keep believing that thieving has no economic effect on hard working folks. It will fuel your ongoing hatred for authority.
