I haven't looked it up, but I haven't ever seen it. I'm guessing it's that tan paste that people use as a chip dip

It's a lot easier if you buy the roux in a bag frozen at Kroger, add skrimps, sausage whatever else and it's a miracle you have gumbo.

The same crowd that ridiculed asians who were upset a white guy was mishandling pho is now up in arms about gumbo.
