News Flash: They are still recorded digitally.

Yes and no.

Her first albums were recorded analog so in theory they could have been cut from the analog masters. But any of the represses that are being mass produced are prob digital masters.

I also don't know how much it really matters considering a lot of the MOFIs sound good and are digitally mastered.

This is going to be one of marketing/manufactured demand kind of things

I was ecstatic to be done with vinyl with the invention of CDs. Most people were.

Gonna be funny if they come full circle (AGAIN) and start pushing CDs to the nostalgia crowd.

I have found that vinyl from the 50s outlasted my cds from the early 2000s.

Even some of my cassettes outlasted some of my cds.

Yeah, in a perfect world you want complete analog but the mastering for the vinyl pressing matters more than anything else.

You can take an original 1975 LP that was in pure analog from a big label at the time. Dupe it with a decent CD recorder and make a reissue that sounds a lot better than the original release with someone that knows what they're doing mastering it for vinyl.

I did this a lot of times when I had a reissue label (but never tried to cover it up like the Mobile Fidelity dudes).

This. Who the heck would by Taylor Slow on vinyl??? It's a digital recording of very mediocre music pressed into vinyl. Then you play it 200 times and the record loses its sharpness anyway. Its also a safe bet that most Swifties are utterly clueless about storing records correctly (vertically, in the sleeve and cardboard, no sun exposure, climate control) so that they dont prematurely degrade.

Swifties don’t even have turntables .
They just spend $400 on all 17 versions of every album swift makes to make themselves feel special

I'm not going down the rabbit hole but I like the sound of the needle touching down on the vinyl.

No need to collect vinyls
Have you heard one? It picks up more sounds than a digital recording does. I wouldn't mind having them for my favorite albums i just got too much other shite to pay for right now
