For anyone interested

After the votes are dropped off today, there’s going to be a big second line through the city

Everyone invited to join

Guessing Latoya will be flipping that parade off too

Sometimes the leadership reflects the attitude in the city that care forgot.

Would it be uncouth to set up tarps and tents and start grilling?

Any update on when they are doing this?

They can't actually go in CDC right now because of a fire, so I assume they are going to the temporary Clerk's office?

Isn’t the recall petition due today?

I sure hope it is successful, because I’d really like to see the trend spread an hour east of there.

From the article.

It's unclear why Cantrell made the gesture. Her communications director Gregory Joseph told local Fox outlet WVUE that it was intended to be playful.

You’re the mayor, not a dunkard on the streets, and so mayors are expected to carry themselves like mayors, not like drunk revelers. Why is it that this has to be explained?

Both sides are challenging the same thing, but from different angles.

One is that the voter rolls have dead people and people no longer living in NOLA.

The other is that dead people and people no longer living in NOLA have signed the petition.

Once certified JBE has to set another vote for the voters to actually vote on recalling Toya.

New prediction, even IF the registrar certifies there are enough signatures, this thing will be tied up in litigation for so long that it there won't be an election for at least 2 years, which almost makes it moot.

The fact that she continues to have any support tells me everything.

You idiots continue parroting this and it’s not at all true…..last election if I saw 5 Latoya signs I saw plenty and I drive all over the city. The number of votes she received was next to nothing.
