My family just got back from New York from a quick weekend. We did not feel unsafe in Manhattan, but the way Times Square looks, it is obvious that it is a lot trashier than it used to be with much less cops. Shitty vendor stands everywhere, and about 100 Halal cart grills. Was really gross there.

Times Square had gone South by 2018, for sure. A big drop from just a couple of years before. I can't imagine it now. The last 4 or 5 years might as well have been 40.
