Everyone out there has their 1st, and 2nd amendment rights fully intact.
One group feels wants their sensibilities and comforts recognized, another group feels as if they do that, then they are giving up their own sensibilities and comforts

This is part of the problem. Neither side is willing to contemplate how the other side feels and why they feel that way. I can see how a black person in America could feel as though they were second class citizens, always being watched, pulled over, etc. On the same token, a lot of white people would feel as though "the other side" loses all credibility when we don't see anyone marching for the hundreds of lives lost on the streets of Chicago, historic numbers of people out of work, etc. White people only see marches and protests when a black person dies and a white person was involved, not even necessarily responsible. That leads to a feeling of sure, black lives matter, but only when whitey is involved.

Is that a position you'd like to stand by? Do u personally have an issue with minorities ?

You are exactly right. What is so shameful about that is that he desecrated the very flag that he claimed to be protecting with his actions in the name of that very same flag.
He was openly and warmly welcomed into the church even by his own account..so much so that he even stated that he almost backed out of carrying out the massacre of church members bc of their hospitality.
I'm fairly certain that this will be a capital case and that he will receive the death penalty. I'm also fairly certain that he will need to be kept in isolation while in prison bc otherwise he will be given a different, more harsh version of the death penalty.

No both groups are doing that. Both groups feel like they are compromising their comfort and sensibilities to appease the others comfort and sensibilities.

I don't side with any of these idiots I'm grow and make my own decisions about what is right and wrong. I come from being a tpos criminal and parasite on society and worked my arse off to get out of that life and live a productive life. Yeah I'm white but it really makes no difference I have many of the same road blocks as the people you defend (convicted felon, drug dealing, etc) and I did it so I know damn well others can to if they get off their asses. Sorry I kinda veered off there, my original point I don't side with the extremist view of either side.

But that's the problem the piece of shite's only connection to the flag was a picture of him in a T-shirt with the flag on it. It was an easy symbol for the lowest common denominator to attack without actually doing anything about race relations.
Roof was never claiming to defend the flag. He was a psychotic delusional racist who blamed black people for ignorant shite and killed innocent people for his perceived injustices. That is why this who PC thing going on right now is so infuriating is that the flag had nothing to do with this at all.

Bingo this was my argument to a family member. Some ppl have a confederate flag bc they think it represents the south, but the majority of ppl that actually fly it are probably racist. Not all, but most. I am from the south, but would not fly the flag. I think it's kind of trashy and I think the majority of southern white ppl would not fly it either. Not bc racist but bc the stigma is white trash.
