Wait. Did you think the Poliboard ever had intellectual integrity?

What if Rittenhouse was a black male ? How would you feel? Would he have been able to walk freely at 17 with an assault rifle? Would he still be a patriot?
And then you are a racist for saying it is an issue, or even notable.

It isn’t self defense to shoot your way out of the scene where you just shot someone else. The bank robber who shoots his way out of the bank when people are trying to stop him isn’t entitled to a self defense plea.
Completely different situations. I’ve seen several videos of these incidents. There is no question he shot people. The question is if he was justified in the shooting or if it was wanton murder.
In the video of the first shooting it appears the person that was shot had been chasing Kyle and threw objects at him. Kyle appears to run away and only shot the guy when he got in his face, after chasing and throwing items at Kyle. The videos show the victim being aggressive and confronting people prior to being shot. He then chased Kyle and threw items at him and got aggressively close to Kyle when Kyle shot him. The question there is if the first shooting was self-defense or not. From the videos and statements it will be hard for the prosecutors to prove premeditation and malice.
The other shootings. The crowd was chasing Kyle after he shot victim number one. Kyle appears to be running to the cops when he fell. When he fell someone tried to curb stomp him, which can be considered attempted murder. Kyle fires two shots at him and missed. At that point a guy came and smashed Kyle in the head with a skateboard. Kyle shot him. Kyle is claiming self-defense there. The third guy approached Kyle and he had a gun. Kyle pointed his gun at him and the guy backed down. The guy then charges Kyle with weapon pointed and Kyle shot him in the arm. Kyle got up and scanned and saw no more threats then went to the cops. Kyle is claiming self-defense in all three shootings.
From the videos it seems to match up with self-defense. If the first shooting is self-defense then it will follow it was self-defense in the others too. This is different than attacking a person shooting up a bank as the bank shooter is attacking with malice and intention and not self-defense.
We will see how the jury decides. I do know this is a very sad situation all the way around and I hate people lost their lives. The violence in these riots are not justified and people from all sides are co-opting and legit cry for justice for their own nefarious reasons; both from the extreme left and extreme right. I hate all the violence. It’s so sad.

The statute says it is illegal and legislative intent shows that is what the law was meant to be. However, in 2005 the WI Legislature changed a subsection to clarify the underage hunting exception and in the process changed the meaning of the full section and made it ambiguous whether a 17yo (no other age but 17) could possess an otherwise legal long gun. Funny enough it didn't screw up the throwing star portion so it is 100% illegal for a 17yo to possess a throwing star in WI.
Good post. That clears up a lot. The way the statute reads is confusing and somewhat contradictory. If there are judicial precedents on this then it will be the standard applied. If not and it’s first impression then that is room for reasonable doubt

Which one is suppose to be him? Non of those guys have the same build as KR.

You left out the parts where the first guy and skateboard guy both attempt to take the rifle from Kyle.
Skateboard guy actually had hands on the rifle, but couldn't get it away because of the sling.

My contention:
If this is him, and it is a strike against him. . .
. . .then it brings character into this, and the pedo, the skateboarding chick strangler, and the robbery comes into play
Kid still wins.
Still a hero

Good post
It's pretty obvious the fight video is him. That said what does it have to do with the case the kid is facing? Floyd literally on his way to death of a fentanyl overdose doesn't matter. Blake resisting arrest, walking through a tazing, and going into a car for the knife he said he had doesnt matter. Sterling with a gun in his pocket he was trying to get ahold of doesnt matter. None of their past crimes mattered. All that matters is what happened in each incident where shootings took place that claimed lives. In this particular one it's pretty clear the kid acted in self defense. He did what I would've done charges or not. He's alive. A couple of his attackers are not. Game set match

His mother should be in jail. She’s a accomplice. You don’t run from a crime scene and go hide at home.
