I have never encountered protesters on the road, but I never understand why people don't drive through them. Lock the doors and slowly move forward. They are no match for the car.

Not much. Protesters generally have the right of way. The answer to your question lies purely with intent. You can't intentionally run anyone over.

So, I'm supposed to sit there and wait for non-working losers to continue blocking the right of way or nudge them out of the way and risk damage to my vehicle and my (or anyone else in my vehicle) safety and injuring some douche protester?
This is why Donald Trump is president. These protests and these endless rants by celebrities telling the everyday person how to feel and think are why we are in this right now.
