Here are my thoughts on the matter. She has an 'amygdala response'. The woman is filled with fear, she is in a fight or flight mode. The sad thing is that with those fear levels her immune system is more depressed and she is more vulnerable to being infected. Her fear will cause her to die, not the family.

Here is where the folks who are all-in with masks as the only solution lose me. Before this woman looks these children in the eye and tells them she hopes they die, she gets within six feet and engages in an extended, heated discussion, If she cared about the chance of infection rather than just liking to be the one who tells other people what to do, she would not have come close.
