I always laugh at people who immediately side with management over labor, despite the fact that they are undoubtedly closer to the latter than the former.

Entry level jobs get entry level pay it's not hard to figure out. The problem is fricking losers want to treat an entry level job as a career because they're fricking lazy/entitled. I always want these pro union people to start their own company and practice what they preach regarding salary to employees. You take all the risk getting the loan starting a business, you work 80 hour work weeks then listen to your employee that works part time bitch why he makes less than you.

This isn’t the 1920’s. Unions are a relic of another time. Unions protect shitty employees, bully those who want no part of them, and inflate prices for the consumer because of unreasonable wage demands for unskilled jobs. Screw unions.

a livable wage,

Ugh, this buzz phrase from the last few years is annoying as frick.

Amazing how so many of us started out of minimum wage and, you know, with time and effort moved on in age and experience to find a career that paid enough to “live”.

Phrase has been around since the 30’s when FDR signed the minimum wage into law

“In my Inaugural I laid down the simple proposition that nobody is going to starve in this country. It seems to me to be equally plain that no business which depends for existence on paying less than living wages to its workers has any right to continue in this country.

“By business I mean the whole of commerce as well as the whole of industry; by workers I mean all workers, the white collar class as well as the men in overalls; and by living wages I mean more than a bare subsistence level-I mean the wages of decent living.”

Good for you, want a cookie?

Doesn’t change what I said about paying people sub livable wages means the difference gets made up in tax dollars and debt.

EA first partnered with LSU in 2008 and then expanded its workforce when it moved onto a $30 million publicly-funded facility on campus. The facility was considered a feather in Baton Rouge’s cap as the city marketed itself as a burgeoning technology hub.

The company has participated in the state’s digital media incentive program since 2008, garnering $28.67 million in tax credits, according to LED spokesperson Ron Thibodeaux.

Everyone in here supporting EA is missing the real story. EA has bilked the state for public infrastructure and tax credits only to bail. F*ck them and anyone else supporting them.

I worked at eabr for 7 years worth of contracts, before it moved to the current location. That job got me through my teens and early 20s but let’s not pretend it was a hard job. I got a test lead position and pretty much watched YouTube all day

I don’t know the law but imo certain jobs are supposed to be temporary or for young ppl starting out. If you want to make real money, you should be going to a better job.

Just like McD employees wanting 15/20 hr to start and can’t get your order right.

Cool, all the middle aged unskilled laborers flipping burgers are using an anachronistic phrase to whine about how life’s not fair.

Nah, some deadbeat like you thinks everyone should get a cookie, whether they earned it or not. Not enough to go around.

Imagine that. Private companies would like to make a profit.

They had a revenue last year of $7 Billion with a profit of well over $5 fricking billion.

EA is a dogshit company. Always has....always will be. They're currently facing a lawsuit for illegally using facial recognition software to gather data on users.

But yeah....you idiots go right on ahead and lick the boots of a dogshit company like EA.

Don’t buy their products.

Better yet, go on strike from your job to show your solidarity, comrade.

wut? I don't think you had enough sleep last night. I'm always amazed at just how little logical thought some people on this website have.

But yeah....keep on beating off a company worth $30 billion. I'm sure they'll notice you.
