Mt Charleston has snow and there's a ski resort there. Been there a long time.
There's a lot to Vegas outside the strip. Mt. C is a great area for nature, trails, and this small ski resort.

Skiing and snowboarding has steadily become a hobby/sport full of trash. Like earlier stated, go to the highest end places like DV to get away from trash (mostly boarders but also applies to skiers too)

I wouldnt even consider this a ski resort.
That being said, ski resorts are one of the last beacons of civilized society. Where large groups of people are generally nice, respectful and trustworthy. People literally leave $1000 gear laying around for hours and leave personal items in open lockers.
If we lose ski resorts we're doomed.
