I thought doing a liquid cleanse during the holidays would keep the pounds off.....however, I did my own liquid cleanse. Only beer and liquor to cleanse the bad thoughts away. Guess I’ll have to make a new plan next year.

It's been tough. Vendors dropping crap of all day and various work group lunches.
And we can't forget the weekend parties.

I don’t gravitate to that either but damned if my gravity is up this holiday season.....

Only upside is I am fricking strong in the gym as long as my gut stays out of the way.

This time of the year is a challenge for even those of us who typically have strong willpower. Christmas is when families get in the kitchen to bake candy, cookies, breads, etc that have been passed down through their families. So you hate to just discard that kind of stuff when it's given to you as a gift. You know it's meaningful and a lot of work went into it. Oh, and it's delicious.

Thanksgiving is EASY. One day of binge eating and you're back in the saddle by Saturday. Christmas is weeks of parties, sweets, alcohol, exhaustion and stress. Way more difficult not to give in at some point.

Speaking of giving in, I earned myself an couple extra miles of interval sprinting tomorrow. DAMN HOMEMADE CANDY FROM YET ANOTHER FRIEND.
