I'd say the Charger 392 is more of a heads up comparison. Hellcat is in a different league.

The Charger 392 would probably be a better matchup for the SS [The Hellcat would blow it out of the water].
If I was in the market for a high performance American sedan. I'd probably check out the 392. The exterior has vastly improved and the interior isn't that bad.

I have grown to hate the Chevy bowtie logo. It's too big, too bright and too outdated IMO.

I agree. I did a quick search and looks like you can get them for right under $50 now but that's still too much IMO. I don't remember the Pontiac G8 being that much.

Probably already mentioned, but IIRC GM has already pulled the plug on the SS. Probably end up being a future collectible.

I think that SS is a great car and I'm thrilled that GM is selling it, but for that kinda money, I'm getting a nice used C6 ZO6.

I don't disagree, but if you want new a 4-door, V-8, manual car for around $50K, pickings are slim.

shite sucks. It's basically a Pontiac g8 gxp with a much higher price tag. The only alluring thing about it is the manual transmission. The charger srt8 392 or charger rt scat pack is a much better bang for he buck ride.

Not sure if it has been said. That is the same Holden they turned into the G8. They made the SS to use up the rest of the cars on the contract after Pontiac shut down, if I am not mistaken.
Fantastic driving car. Even the Top Gear guys like them. Really well balanced. Tremendously fun. Wish I had the money, would definitely consider it.
