Arguing directly with a superior about their salary, rarely works out in favor of the lesser employee.
I'm shocked.
Would be similar to me letting a VP know that I didn't think he was worth 500k/yr and the stock options, because I do all the field work. I deserve more.

Fontana is the board attorney I think -- or maybe just a member. Super was there all along.

The super was to the right of him. The guy in the middle
He’s (Fontana) a big shot lawyer

Except your boss isn't a public employee being paid with public funds. Totally shite analogy.
Posted on 1/9/18 at 9:08 am to tiger91
This is happening all over government. They all get raises and early retirements etc This is how big government has already ruined our country. This is the MAIN reason for our decline. We need to cut government in HALF immediately

The jack arse who was talking about raising the number that was apparently missing from the contract?

Semantics. Revenue is revenue.

Well he better be because I see a huge law suit against him and that board.

Someone asked about his salary -- wouldn't that be public record?? Don't see it anywhere --
Public record doesn't mean it has to be available online, just means you can draft a letter requesting the information and they have to send it to you in a timely manner.
You can request entire contract if you'd like

How long has he been Super? I see his contract is for 3 years with the raise...they're really going to shite when they give him a 4th year so he can retire at his new salary.

Sums up the Mississippi education system or whatever you want to call it, to a tee.

How is it semantics? If you're a property owner in Vermillion Parish, you're essentially a shareholder of the school board. The teacher is also a stakeholder. Discussing the compensation of leadership is fair game at a board meeting.
Competent leadership that deserves a new vehicle and significant raise should be able to handle that criticism a bit better than simply removing the woman from the room.

The 3 years makes sense, he'll hit 30 years in 2021
ETA: but he'll need 4 years to retire at his new salary

I agree.

If revenues went up, through whatever means, then leadership is most normally going to be the first to see their salaries rise. Or have the cojones to ask for more $.
