Yes. I believe he is the one who wanted to replace his father on the board until the election (but it could have been another son. Not really sure). That was denied and another replacement was found, hence why you got the 5-3 vote, instead of the 4-4 which it would have been. Thats my whole issue with it. Not that he got a raise and contract. Its how that vote was achieved that's shady as all shite.

I seriously doubt that he would be posting here. Reggie, if thats you man...good luck. I know you are good people. Sucks that it was you in there and not someone else.

Right, Super needs to get whatever he can just like professional athletes who hold out. The process and maneuvers to get him that raise are questionable. And I hope this story doesn't quietly go away.

You are correct. She actually pulled away from the officer. He gave her a warning that if she did not leave she would be escorted out. She did not leave and continued to speak while ignoring the officer. After the warning he attempted to physically escort her out and she pulled away.
After being recognized a second time, she was told that she was no longer recognized and to shut up. She did not.
Now I wholeheartedly agree that it was bull crap. And the board and super are crap, IMO. But my point is the consistency, rather inconsistencies, and the reactions of many here to others who speak at Council meetings when those speakers views do not agree with the majority of the OT.
You either support a person‘s right’s or you don’t. The message really should have no bearing on support of a person’s right to speak.

If you listen to the video again, the teacher alludes to the vote of it at the beginning of the first time she was recognized. That fact has been glossed over up to this point because of the outlash of the arrest. I have a feeling this will not go away quietly and more issues will be brought to light.

Okay, you’ve gotten your race baiting logic out of the way. Are you happy now?

I have made it crystal clear that it is much more about the message of the speaker than the race of the speaker. I even gave an example of a social justice warrior who is white.

Don't disagree with you there. Thats human nature though. Someone stands up for what YOU believe..they are celebrated. Someone stands up for something YOU don't believe..they are a shite starter and deserve what's coming to you.
I get that. Shouldnt be looked at that way though. And this incident shouldn't be compared to others that are totally different.

Why do you even have to go there, though? Just because we all post on the OT doesn't mean the entire OT shares the same opinions. You have basically said you agree with the teacher but want to point out the hypocrisy of the OT. Why even go there? What is being accomplished? You managed to get your "gotcha" out of the way, so what now?

You saw this? She wasn't under arrest at the time so the office had no business touching her. Unless she didn't leave and stopped. The process that led to her being asked to leave is also questionable.

Are you comparing Fat Gary and the other idiots at the Metro Council Meeting to the teacher? If so, their message was about Alton Sterling and they publicly announced they were going to derail the meeting. This teacher was at a school board meeting speaking about the topic at hand.

The OT is full of “gotchas”
I understand the inconsistencies. As someone else pointed out, It is human nature. But as I stated in my original post I would be remiss if I did not point it out. And as I stated in a more recent post. A person’s right should be supported regardless of the message. I am no longer “remiss”

He stated he would escort her out, assuming by using his hands, if she did not leave. She continued to speak and completely ignored him at that point while continuing to speak. He absolutely had the right to escort her out. And for the record the whole thing was bull crap.

Why did she have to leave?

She was in the middle of a dialogue with the Suoer. The Super engaged with her so what was she doing wrong?

bullshite. Again. She and the Super were exchanging words.
GTFO with your stupid bullshite.

No that was the other son .. the son that the father wanted to replace him actually didn't live in the district. But his wife did and the boys and some board members wanted her in.
Posted on 1/11/18 at 8:45 am to Strannix
Raise was because of improved test scores and school rankings ... and it's backroom politics because the person who replaced the deceased member was hand picked by the president of the board who he knew would vote for the raise whereas the deceased member was not in favor.
FYI the appointed board member has my husband said about 25 pit bulls surrounding his house on approximately a six foot chain linked to a "blue barrel". #justasidenote
