I think that would be the smart switch on my phone and I turned that off. I also clear out my cache everyday but that doesn't seem to help. The only solution I'm getting is turning WiFi off and back on but it doesn't always stay connected
Me and my manager have been debating your issue for the last 30 minutes.
I stand by my opinion that its some sort of SSL or cert not being populated at the point of entry. Hence why I said to forget the network and then re-establish a refreshed connection (not simply turn wifi on and off), he tends to think it could be new parameters sent that could make the phone access WiFi after a certain dBM signal is reached.

Sounds like a Net Neutrality issue.

I have an iPhone through Verizon and a few months ago my phone started blowing through data even though I’m connected to WiFi almost all the time. It’s crazy how that started all of a sudden and hasn’t stopped.

Is it with any WiFi network or just one in particular?

I have the connection issue also. My phone doesn't have the range to connect that my wife's phone has although I have a 6 and she has a 7 I believe. For example hers' connects easily to wifi in our bedroom and mine is one bar at most or it doesn't connect half the time.

Did a hard reset and put the network password in at work and so far it has worked like it should.

Perfect. If it does it again, bump the thread.

Well it ended up doing it again. So I left Verizon switched to AT&T And I've stayed connected to Wi-Fi this whole week with no issue. I truly believe it is the Verizon network that was doing it.

You use wifi on your phone? Girl where you get that weave at?
Posted on 4/19/18 at 7:30 am to Placebeaux
I have Verizon and the unlimited data plan. I hardly use WiFi anymore but, when I did, I never had a problem with it disconnecting.

We have 40 Verizon phones here at work and no complaints about wifi dropping. Everything from old shitty Androids to brand new iPhones and Pixels.

No idea. We have unlimited data. Sorry you're poor

I don't need unlimited data Plus that runs slow in my opinion. I've never gone over my data plan until I was out of contract and my phone started disconnecting from Wi-Fi

Are they all under contract? I never had an issue until I was out of contract
Posted on 4/19/18 at 12:19 pm to Placebeaux
Some are under. Some aren't.

No.
That sounds more like a wifi network problem than a provider problem.

That's what I thought at 1st but it was happening at different locations with different providers. The only common denominator was Verizon
