I’m torn on the issue. What will likely happen is the net will be cast way too wide and snare too many people that don’t need to be placed in long term care. How long until they’re used for political advantage? It’s the same thing with red flag laws.

I think we are only getting one side of the story in that article and a lot of it is probably made up.
However, according to the article the "farmers" followed them down the road AFTER the police had come and told them to leave and then shot at them after they left the property. If so, the farmers are going to have a problem. However, I have a hard time believing that the "farmers" hunted them down after the police had been called and told the trespassers to leave. Sounds like the vegans got pissed that the police came and told them to get the frick out so they are making up some shite so they can seem like the victims. Who knows.
