Anyone ever heard of this?

People(particularly millinials) just live in a van and traveling the country enjoying all it has to offer.

Surely they don’t work. Where do these people get the money for this shite?

What makes you think they don't work? They probably have remote jobs and make additional money from YouTube content.

Meanwhile, the 2022 version of being an edgy, free-spirited non-conformist:

- Married
- Has kids
- Attends church
- Diligently works a normal job

A guy that worked with me did this. He and his wife sold their house, their vehicles, and all of their stuff. They bought a van, decked it out like this, and both quit their jobs to travel the country. He said when they run out of money, they will get jobs and start over.

Most van lifers don't make enough money to support themselves via youtube.

For instance, if your goal is to earn $500 a month, you will need 150,000 to 240,000 views every month.

You'd probably need half a million views a month or more to support yourself

I've had a couple of random "van life" videos pop up on YouTube and the one that I watched had a guy who works remote doing Salesforce admin stuff.

My question was...what are the income tax ramifications of not having a permanent address? Do you have to keep track of how much you work in each state and file appropriately?

My second question was...how many of them really file appropriately?
