Also, PhD doesn't necessarily mean shite as most of the ones issued are phds in the soft sciences and liberal arts that don't mean anything.

I’d bet my 401k that the majority of liberal arts PhD’s were lining up to get their first dose as soon as they could.

This has been talked about before the study didn't really conclude what it appears they are suggesting.

Most of the headlines and articles it spawned are misleading. Take the time to read the study and you will have a better understanding of what it is actually saying.
I did read the study. It looked at many factors. Age, race, location, politics, and education as well as where you worked. It also looked at the change in hesitancy over time from January to may. The “conclusion” on education is mearly an observation. And it’s a factual one. How you interpret that or what you conclude is up to you. The authors aren’t here to explain why and neither did my OP.

That’s mostly accurate, but I would change the caption under the PHD side to say “There’s not enough data”

It was an internet survey. Lol. How many people clicked “PHD” to skew results? Lol.

This is interesting. Does This say 76.1% of PHDs were not hesitant?

You know that’s why these studies have margins of error right? And that nearly any study based on surveys has this “flaw” that gets accounted for in analysis. I’m sure you knew that.

I just realized that I participated in this survey.

Our whole company actually participated in it.

It was a Facebook survey

Not only that, it was a survey you could take multiple times.

Science bitches.

This info could be valid or bunk, but their methods are trash to say the least. Everyone should reject trash methods presented this way.

I did catch it 1 min too late. That said, even someone bad at math can see the real significance.

Of the 530k May respondents, less than 11k said they had PHDs. That’s not out of line with the actual population and, again, they adjust for errors in reporting.

Part of the survey was that you DO take it multiple times to see if the hesitancy changed. So to point that out as a flaw when it was actually meant to be allowed is kind of ignorant on your part.

There was no time frame for multiple tests or any verification of information. There was no requirement to answer the survey twice.

Like I said, I took this survey. I would fall into vaccine hesitant when I took it. Now vaccinated.

shite is bunk science.

I guess the PHDs who set it up were idiots who don’t know what they’re doing.
