Guns are never at fault. Not sure why this is so hard to understand for some.

Well, they didn't file the action against the gun.

That being said the action likely has no teeth. There are (wild) hypotheticals where a gun manufacturer/distributor/retailer could be partially to blame for a shooting like this but I haven't seen anything to suggest that in this or any other recent shooting.

Is this the teacher that left the door open?

They'll have a problem with that one because they've already publicly admitted to regularly leaving the door propped open with a rock.

Shouldn't the city of Uvalde and the school system be the one at fault here? The policy was clear to close the doors in case of armed intruder, the policy was violated, and very bad things happened.

This is the teacher that “left the door open”?

You shouldn’t be able to sue over this type of shite any way. Sue the parents.

The action seeks to determine whether the gun manufacturer can be sued over the operation of its weapons.

So if some dumbass judge allows this to go through then why can’t car manufacturers be sued. It sounds as absurd as suing the gun manufacturers.

If I'm a parent of one of the children, I'm suing her and the school for hiring dumbasses that can't follow safety protocols.

I’ve seen this said multiple times in this thread.

What’s the primary purpose of a car?

What’s the primary purpose of a gun?

Convenience. But if a car is involved in a wreck and someone dies do we blame the car manufacturers. If a person gets a DUI while driving and someone gets killed then that person was using that vehicle in a manner which it was not designed for.

Mainly for self defense or recreational shooting.
But if a gun is used in a crime why should the gun manufacturer be blamed. If someone gets killed then that person was using that gun in a manner which it was not designed for. Just change the wording but it’s the same scenario in each case. The object was being used in a manner for which it was not designed. How hard is that to understand.

What a load of crap. She should be suing the teacher who left the door open and the police department. The gun manufacturer did nothing wrong here.

She likely caused the door issue, and I would include district since 2 doors not locked along with the district having their own police force.

She propped door open with a rock to help another teacher get stuff out of vehicle for a school party which already doesn’t seem like policy, but according to her lawyer she dramatically kicked rock out and slammed door shut which then didn’t lock for some reason. I think DPS has confirmed some of this with security cam but maybe not exact description her lawyer uses. Lock broken already or was unlocked on purpose with no need for rock propping door open if known by teachers which would still make it more of a school/district issue (maintenance or with end of year ceremonies & parties may have been choice by lazy administrator along with teachers propping open doors) or that door when shut was still not shut properly for locks to engage which could also happen in panic situation. I have doors that when slammed can kick back out quickly & just enough to not engage lock while depending on closely viewed or view of camera would look shut.

It was a he. The females did what they were trained. The male teacher was afraid to go shut his classroom door and told the kids to play like they were asleep under their desks. He then hid under his. But had the gall to say Don’t be mad at me”.
