I gave a stripper pesos once. She was not happy! But it was legal tender

We did that when we went to Mazatlan, Mexico for spring break in 2000. All the bartenders would get drinks for the people who tipped first. So instead of bringing rolls of quarters or dollars, we got rolls of pesos...so they could hear it clink in the glass and get our drinks. By about the third night they caught on and would put napkins in the tip jar and check it to see what it was when people tipped, before getting the drinks

because that's the same thing as paying strippers fake money under the guise that it is legal tender

If I were the strippers, I wouldn't call this a loss just yet. I wonder how much these things would fetch on eBay.

TMZ article now saying Usher paid with real money, left the fake money as a promotion

quote:

For starters, this all happened at Sapphire in Vegas -- and a rep for the club tells TMZ Usher did NOT tip the strippers with this fake money, and actually dished out authentic greenbacks, while also going on to tip the staff at large quite generously.

We're told Usher and co. ended up spending thousands on the dancers (REAL thousands, mind you) and also enjoyed bottle service which he definitely didn't cover with these Usher bucks. It goes without saying Sapphire tells us they'd love to host him again, anytime.

Now for some more intel on what the hell actually happened here -- sources close to Usher tell us that somebody in his crew (not him) left some stray Usher dollars behind on the stage as a bit of a gag both to be joke-y, but to also promote his new Vegas residency.

We've been assured by folks in the singer's camp that he did, in fact, tip the girls who danced for him and that the Usher bucks in question weren't used for payment AT ALL.

That begs the question was Ms. @beel0ove simply misinformed here, or knowingly trying to make him look bad? It's unclear if she'll stick to her story, but 2 separate parties tell us her version is BS.

So stripper ho lies on social media for clout. Shocker, right?

Got a feeling that club won't let her dance there anymore after having to clarify this to the media and also they could have lost a celebrity client because of her.

It wasn’t really a lie. They put fake money on the stage and she wanted real money (regardless of whether he tipped individually or also threw actual dollars)

According to the article she did get real money, and apparently a lot of it, from Usher.

Usher-bucks are as good as money ma'am. There's one there for a threesome. $12 thou. Might want to hang on to that one.

According to the article, they also put fake money on the stage and she likely wanted the fake to also be real

So if she got $1000 real cash (just a hypothetical number), she'd be happy. But getting $1000 real cash plus some bogus cash, then it's time to take to social media to tear down the man who gave you $1000?

Fact is, she omitted the part of the story where she got paid real money, a pretty decent amount apparently, and made the story out to be like there was some kind of bait and switch where she got stiffed completely. Which we're now finding out isn't true. If it isn't an outright lie, it's at the very least deceptive or omitting important parts of the story to get people on your side.

Which, in my mind, is lying.
