But all the people in power will still be able to enjoy their steaks and AC. The rest of us will be eating bugs and living in govt project homes.

I’ll eat deer duck and fish for protein before I eat lab grown meat. Keep a couple cows out at the camp and butcher them for annual supply of beef.

This is why I buy my beef from a local cattleman.

Isn't lab grown meat literally made out of cancer?

I don't think I'll be first in line to try it due to any manufacturing residues that it might contain.

The rich wants us to not use gas and to depend on them for electricity to commute. The rich also wants us poors to not have natural gas or propane and again, depend on them electricities. The rich also wants us poors to not eat meat, as the cow farts are causing global heating, and depend on them to lab create us meat.

Does anyone else see the trap the rich are putting on us? We will eventually depend on the rich for every single thing. At that point, it is much easier to stifle the dissent, since the common trans man will depend on them for about everything.

I listened to a researcher on a podcast a few months ago talking this. At that point, the technology was just enough to create protein cells. They were years off from getting those to clump together into anything resembling meat. The guy also had no understanding of why someone would care about steak appearance, marbling or variety in tastes of different types of beef. I’m guessing this stuff won’t taste very good. Hopefully this goes the way of Beyond Meats.

Meat should be in parentheses. Not meat

I'm on a carnivore diet - only grass fed beef for my meat - from a real cow.

Artificial crap always turns out to be very bad for you.

Long term that can't be good! Eating a meat made in a lab has to be horrific for the body long term. It will probably come out in about 20 years that it's the leading cause of cancer among all age groups. I trust the USDA about as much as I trust Biden being honest about his dealings with foreign countries!

It’s probably pure poison

To be clear, I'm very unlikely to try it. But I find a lot of the pearl clutching hypocritical, in that most people put loads of nasty non-food shite in their bodies all the time.

You can thank the government for this.

I agree. I'm frequently amazed at how all the "small government" people on here think nothing of pouring cheap "foodstuffs" created in labs with cheap, gubment-subsidized ingredients into their bodies.

You don't think they will make laws to stop that? You will own nothing and will be happy. Well maybe your grandkids will but its coming.
