Come on man. It's ok to agree with me
If someone came out and said I'm going to the White House because I support Trump and what he is doing for this country, you think that would just slide to the backpage and she would get no backlash?

An entire group is different though
I think assuming the whole team not wanting to go is coercion, is making a pretty uninformed assumption. It’s just as possible that the whole team doesn’t want to go, even as a show of support for a teammate.
I’m pretty sure Alex Morgan said the team would vote on it as a whole. Team votes have been used for all kinds of decisions, including whether a player would be allowed back on it.

Dude drop it. I'm not even trying to argue anything here.
I'm clearly not getting across what I meant, and it's not very important.

Nobody has said that the team won't visit the White House. In fact, I'm willing to bet that the team eventually does go to the White House.
Sure, under a different persons invite.
The epitome of childish behavior.
This is what happens when emotionally immature people don't get their way

Based on your uninformed opinion, or do you have insider info we don't have?

well that isn't exactly what you said
if someone came out and said they will still go to the WH because its an honor, I don't think anyone would say anything
but if someone would come out in full support of Trump? Yeah, she would get some blacklash. I don't think she would be blackballed or anything though, unless she was just super confrontational about it.

We aren't even sure if Trump will invite them. Nothing official has come out from his team from what I've read.

I’m not making the assumption that they were or weren’t coerced. I’m pointing out that none of us know other than Alex Morgan mentioning the time would vote on it in her interview the other day.

I can't think of any more American and unifying move than Rapinoe and Co. coming out and saying "we disagree with the President but this was a win for the US and we're of course going to the WH"
They won't, and it's unfortunate.

That would not give her the attention she craves though.

What does that have to do with a preemptive rejection?
It's childish and immature

because only 2 have preemptively rejected it

I haven't seen a preemptive rejection. Do you have a link?

you're basing your entire opinion of them on one issue?
I'm basing my opinion on the fact that they are disrespecting the office of the president of the United States, I don't care who is office he/she should be respected.
I hear people talkin' bad,
About the way they have to live here in this country
Harpin' on the wars we fight
And gripin' 'bout the way things oughta be
And I don't mind 'em switchin' sides
And standin' up for things they believe in
But when they're runnin' down our country, man
They're walkin' on the fightin' side of me
They're walkin' on the fightin' side of me
Runnin' down a way of life
Our fightin' men have fought and died to keep
If you don't love it, leave it
Let this song that I'm singin' be a warnin'
When you're runnin' down our country, hoss
You're walkin' on the fightin' side of me

This will likely be what happens. If you've followed this team the past several months, you'd know they're a very cohesive and supportive unit. The team's chemistry is the strongest I've seen in any US National team, male or female.
And for all the comments about Rapinoe being selfish, she's been the one of the most vocal supporters of her teammates the entire WC.
Posted on 7/9/19 at 9:45 am to SabinBear
My wife and I are not big soccer fans, far from it. But the WC brought us into the mix. You know, USA, USA,USA. First thing my wife said was how much she can't stand Rapinoe, and wish she wouldn't score. Only because of her politics and views. When she (Rapinoe), or any of those players could grow the sport with genuine love for their country and the sport, yet they choose to use the platform as a political and social stage. Our granddaughter played soccer in H.S., and is gay. But she's also in the U.S. Army and is total opposite of what some of the US soccer team are.

Rapinoe rejected it and one other kinda agreed in a tweet.

If another player spoke up, she would be ostracized from the team. The media would crucify her
doubt it
