I don't think I am.

He said this board calling for bama to skip. This board is mostly LSU fans so they wouldn't care enough to call for that.

I have no idea if LSU fans would've called for LSU players to skip, that's not the hypothetical. I do wish they had/would have the chance though. :(

There has been more than just LSU fans her for a very long time. I think you're clinging to the Bama part just to not acknowledge that fans weren't calling for teams to skip the trip with Obama in office,

Why does it have to be mutually exclusive that if you support one you can’t support the other?

When did I ever say this? It doesn't have to be mutually exclusive.

And plenty of people support Tim Tebow right? He’s a pretty open Christian athlete.

And plenty despise him and ridicule him for it. Just like Rapinoe and crew.

My point was, did the OP support one, yet argue against the other? And if so, why?

What I find humorous is many of the same people who support. Athletes virtue signaling disliked Tebow and his antics. His were nowhere near as volatile as the others.

Eh, there’s a lot of hypocrisy across the board.

I don’t have any issue with an athlete turning down an invite, no matter who is in office. It’s an invitation. Not a subpoena.

I'm not doing that at all. Stop convoluting this.

I will just drop it because we are not close to the same thing here.

And I have no problem with any INDIVIDUAL making that call even though I find it to be counterproductive. But when an entire TEAM does it, it has the unmistakable whiff of coercion and cultural bullying.

You nailed it.

It's just signaling to the herd from the herd.

Rapinhoe is wrong in her opinions, but I don't thing it's a big deal if she skips the WH
The entire team doing it reeks of coercion.

But they know that the Progressive Twitterverse will DESTROY them if they dissent from the Mob. And go to the White House.

If another player spoke up, she would be ostracized from the team. The media would crucify her

The post was that the tune on this board would change once a D is in the White House. I made an anecdotal observation about when Bama won multiple times under Obama. I figured that since the fan bases were largely similar and there are several Bama posters on this site it was a decent comparison. Seems fairly reasonable that most would figure that out

Why single out just the born again Christians?

Why single out gays? Just an example.

There is actually a very openly Christian female soccer player that was wrongly left off the USWNT roster. She's a solid player and should have made the team based on her ability. My guess is her anti-gay views were a threat to the team's chemistry.

Where's the outrage that she wasn't able to "love herself" and be who she was?

LSU fans hate both of them so why would they care?

Nobody has said that the team won't visit the White House. In fact, I'm willing to bet that the team eventually does go to the White House. All we have are these one-off comments, typically from Rapinoe.
