Denver Capital Hill area than she's ever felt here

What reason would she have for hanging out in the Denver Capital Hill area? In my 5 years of living in the Denver area, I've been there once and it was to take my son to watch the opening round of American Ninja Warrior. Not a great area safety wise, but there are some awesome small towns outside of Denver (Louisville the nicest small town I've ever visited) and the crime rates are among the lowest in the nation.

She was just riding around on her bike. She's a little naive

Real estate prices are outrageous because everyone wants to move there.

I understand why they are high. I'm suprised these two things balance themselves out at the top on this list. Houses hit the market with multiple cash offers first day from high income tech people leaving California and moving here. pretty crazy scene

Asheville, NC not on the list - it's better than many of the places listed.

I would move there in a heartbeat if my wife could tolerate the winters

You do realize that Boise has very mild winters compared to other cities in that same latitude? They're in a big valley between mountain ranges, saving the city from bitter cold winters that Minneapolis, Chicago and countless other cities suffer from.

I can see the argument for Denver being #1, but I'm over it. Too many people, too much traffic, and too far from the mountains to climb or bike on weekdays. I'm moving to Boulder
