Too bad Congress loves taking most of those hard earned dollars and pocketing it or just throwing them away.

Idk but I know Trump is a business man and so are they. I would think people of this stature could come to some agreement. Not saying govt needs to step in and start running the show but can’t hurt to atleast bring everyone in and have a discussion on how we can bring relief to the people. They’re def price gouging imo. No need for it we have plenty of oil.
Canada suspended their gas tax. We should do that at the very least.

According to this article, at least for cumulative year 2025, Saudi Arabia was still the #1 exporter of crude.
I included refined petroleum products (gasoline, diesel).

This was always the plan, patriots. You’ll like how this turns out.
I hope so. As of now, however, increasing exports of American oil will limit domestic supply available for refining and consumption here, which will drive up prices for gasoline, diesel, heating oil, and shipping. This is a very powerful inflationary force. We will be directly required to pay across the board inflation so that American oil can be exported.
What exactly is the good plan?

I don't think supply is an issue. Global prices are driving cost.

It's basically price gouging... Like selling a gallon of water for ten bucks after a hurricane...
How does this retarded post have 24 upvotes.

Limited supply is the only issue here. Foreign countries are purchasing more U.S. oil because their supply from the Middle East is restricted. The steady supply of middle eastern oil that U.S. companies import is also restricted. Sale of U.S. oil will exacerbate our supply limitation by further drawing down the supply available for domestic consumption.
How can you say that supply is not an issue? It is THE issue worldwide.

Was coming here to say the same thing. If US can support itself with crude and refining, why the heck is gas at $4/gallon when a month ago it was $2.50/gallon?

Because there is no such thing as a domestic discount. Prices are set on the global market.

And this was probably half of the reason for the Iran War, and half of the reason why it hasn’t ended.

Lots of people just believe and parrot what their favorite social media “influencers” tell them these days.

Maybe it's not so retarded?
You don't think companies take opportunities to make to make an easy profit...?
Gas prices started going up soon as the war started...

Gas prices are up because not enough
Countries or states have sufficient refining capacity to meet their domestic needs.

Because the price of OIL, a globally traded commodity, which is kind of necessary to produce gasoline, went up.

Because Europe and SE Asia cannot so they pay higher prices. Because oil, gasoline, kerosene, and diesel are global commodities the entire world feels price increases when a large population cannot sustain itself.

Uh oh. Now you done it.
The calls for American refiners to no longer be allowed to export gasoline will soon start.

That’s got jack shite to do with oil companies.

Because refineries in Asia and Europe are willing to pay a premium for oil? Are the upstream operators or midstream transport/marketers supposed to just turn down the extra cash?
Man…maybe we should implement that strategy for early crawfish season…

The week of April 24th, the US was a net exporter of Crude Oil for the first time in modern history.
