This is completely ridiculous. It’s crazy that our government is enabling such dangerous drugs. Why can’t people just drink whiskey and smoke cigs like the good old days? Those things were completely safe for consumption.

Just fricking legalize it already. I'd rather my kids smoke that as opposed to Delta 8,9, 10, 100, kratom, kava, CBD and whatever else is currently legal.

for sure, there is no telling what all these fly by night companies are using for solvents

Taking it off schedule I is the fricking opposite of a nothing burger.

It frees up the entire industry to go mainstream with banking. It is enormous and is the biggest development in the marijuana legalization effort's history.

This will turn the legalization momentum up to 11.

TLRY, MJNA, and SNDL are up 11-32%.

38 having already legalized medical marijuana and 24 legalizing its recreational use.

Wow I didn’t realize this.

Does this mean dispensaries will be able to do business with banks?

However, it would not legalize marijuana outright for recreational use.

They will drag this out for decades for political ammo.

Once it is no longer Schedule I, it will move a lot faster than that. Money is about to pour in.

This legitimizes medical marijuana, means those participating in that industry are no longer violating federal law.

I would guess that also means you can legally travel with it on an airplane now.

Not sure. As schedule 1, it was like heroin..even fentanyl was schedule 2. Schedule 1 means no legit medical use..3 is stuff like Tylenol with Codeine or testosterone.

I don't partake in the devil's lettuce but until employers/insurers look at it the same way as alcohol, nothing matters. This is the key to full acceptance.

And who is the first employee to sue their employer for firing them for using a legal substance on their time off?

FDA will now need to make decisions about it. No one gets fired for taking drugs legally prescribed to them. They can still be restricted from working while on them. And many employers never tested for it anyway (most teachers, many professionals, many state employees, etc) even less do so as legalization has moved along.

Believe it or not, the State of LA is actually ahead of this. State employees with a medical card can still be employed & not face consequences for MM use.

I'll bet before they started smoking marijuana, they were drinking alcohol. And before they were drinking alcohol, they were drinking caffeine. Probably using nicotine as well. So should we ban alcohol, caffeine, and nicotine?. They are all mood altering substances.
