Yeah I'm not buying this map, Mongailia County in WV is green, WVU has a bit of a drinking problem.

Not sure I believe that map for New Mexico.
I buy some of. Some of it is clearly wrong.
Crazy how people just accept things as true, without even looking at it critically.

There’s certainly a tie between staying inside 5 months a year and drinking a lot.
Baptist having a stigma about drinking (in public) until the past 10-15 years plays a part in the south not drinking as much.

I'm surprised Clark County, Nevada is green. That's Las Vegas.
As someone who lives in Las Vegas, the low rate of drinking actually tracks.
The dry climate makes you drink lots of water to stay hydrated and avoid migraines on a day to day basis. When I lived in Georgia, I barely touched water. Now, I carry water everywhere and barely touch alcohol.

Why I would love to know how they go about getting this data. I know damn well St James parish is beating 5 drinks in one occasion with more than 20% of its population.
I could sign up a to have beer trucks run down the largest neighborhood in the parish alone and those are not the only drinkers.

If they used that "under 21" statement in the results, Louisiana should be a much higher percentage. I've seen plenty of parents who let their 17 and 18 year old kids drink beer at parties, tailgates, and crawfish boils.
