Honestly I'm embarrassed. Our reputation is tarnished and undeserved.

Not buying the graphic. Counties that border counties in the next state are that different?

I think some states are underreporting.

I think meth and opioid use have slowed down drinking in KY and WV. One of the ancillary benefits.

Can't speak on Illinois, but Minnesota just allowed alcohol sales at stores on Sunday in 2017 and you can only buy liquor from certain stores. Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, I can buy liquor and beer from a gas station on Sunday at 6am.

It's just so much easier to buy in WI vs MN.

That Tensas # is funny. There’s only about 4K people in the whole parish.

That's not my point. Look at the borders of TX, NE, and OK. You really think that excessive dring varies that much, right down the street, across state line?

Wisconsin is no surprise, except for how tightly it’s bound to state lines.

What, do they have a buy one, get one free law?

bullshite, at least with Louisiana. Vernon parish is one of very few red parishes, and it is (or at least used to be) predominantly dry. I guess it could be the Ft. Polk factor. Also, St. Helena is one of few green parishes. There are more drunk rednecks and blacks there than you can shake a stick at.

Obviously nothing concrete. But NM is a very peculiar state. Very sparsely populated. No drinking or party culture. Not much in the way of reservations.

All the crazy people go to Arizona
