This administration is the weakest of my lifetime. Russia and the rest of the world knows we aren't gonna do shite about it.

Why not? Shouldn't we be looking for our energy solutions elsewhere besides that shite hole? We don't really have any interest there besides an archaic form of energy right?

See my last post just up from this one. I lay out some of the very possible consequences.

Wow, never thought I'd see the day when the US is the one supporting terrorists and are the bad guys. The globalists that have taken over our government are setting America up for a fall. We need to wake up.

2. How will Saudi Arabia react to having on it's northern border a Iraq that's a puppet to a emboldened and very strong Iran backed by Russia and by them probably armed with nuclear weapons?

3. How will Jordan, a pretty good American ally, react to a reinvigorated Syria sitting on it's doorstep?

Not well. I'm hoping the ensuing chaos drives up oil prices.

Megyn Kelly said that the administration is going to send them a "stern letter" about this issue.

We should not step away.

Our best option at the moment is to let Syria continue to be a quagmire. Russia cannot sustain a prolonged war in Syria AND the Ukraine.

While I think Obama is a douche, it's kinda lame that Fox constantly uses very normal diplomatic exchanges like this as if we're suddenly doing stuff we've never done before because we're so cowardly.

Wild conspiracy theory:

Russia, China and the US want WW3. Not a nuclear war just conventional soldiers in the ground war.

The world is in a severe economic depression throughout almost all global markets.

Historically wars have been a great way to get out of bad economic times.

I have no doubt that China and Russia would gladly sacrifice several million lives to improve their economic situation.

I am pretty sure the US government would do the same.

The U.S. is seen by the world as the country that has caused this catastrophe in the Middle East. From Iraq to Libya to this, we have empowered the Islamists and destabilized the entire region causing massacres and desecrations from those animals. And for what? So the Saudis and Turks can have a stranglehold on the region in exchange for favorable energy policies (petrodollar)? People bitch about Iran and they are bad, but the Saudis are worse. We shouldn't be in bed with any of them. What happened to the American tradition of non-interventionism?

Everyone here seems to have forgotten Assad openly supported terrorism against Israel. It would be unconscionable to allow him back into power.

Let Iereal deal with that. They have a fantastic military and one of the strongest airforces in the world.

Why does everyone keep calling Syria a quagmire? There's no reason for it to be. It's almost completely Sunni so it's not like Iraq where you had three dominant religions in one country under one governemnt. Syria is an open desert so there isn't places to hide like Afghanistan or Vietnam.

Some of you people just like using buzzwords. Some explain to me why Syria will be a quagmire for the Russians. They have the backing of the government, they are stronger than ISIS or the rebels. They are willing to accept collateral damage to kill their enemies. The only way Syria becomes a quagmire for Russia is if we continue to arm and supply the "moderate" rebels fighting the Assad regime.

And you can point to the US for a lot of our current issues with Iran. We fricked that one up
