There are a ton of REMF units that just don't need much physical prowess to do their job well. People overlook the fact that the Army is a massive logistics company that just happens to dabble in war fighting.

And they should all meet the same basic physical standards, regardless of MOS. If certain units or job fields require a higher level of physical fitness then they can have higher standards. There shouldn’t be gender specific standards in any position in the military.

Ideally there wouldn’t be any women in the military at all aside from maybe a woman’s auxiliary that cooks and does paperwork and some medical tasks.

lol I don’t bother voting one way or the other on here. I also dgaf a frick how badass you think your sister is. If she joined a combat unit she would immediately be the weakest link simply because she’s a girl

Hopefully we never do combat anymore. We've fought in zero wars worth fighting since WW2.

For context so I can properly discuss it with you what was your MOS or branch if you were an officer?

I don’t know how it is nowadays, but I remember when we were gearing up to ship to Saudi Arabia in the run up to the First Gulf War, there were numerous rear echelon support units that suddenly had multiple women who got pregnant just in time to not have to deploy.

Sure, those units aren’t going to the front lines to fight, but they still fill a vital role in supporting the frontline units. They need to be at full strength. Instead they had to deal with losing members right when they’re about to go fulfill their wartime mission.

I remember hearing about one Navy support ship that had like 10-20% of its female crew members get pregnant.
