I'd argue people who are anti freedom are what's wrong with this country, but that's just me.

Just wondering what you think of folks like you who are anti American and literally telling us you do not believe in the 1st amendment

Bingo

They know they're wrong, that's why they reply with the disingenuous nonsense about how anyone who agrees(with the 1st amendment, mind you) must also worship Satan.

Freedom of religion. Kinda was crafted back in the 1700's. Nothing more American than it.

There is no way any of you leftist idiots think the founding fathers intended the 1st amendment for satanic clubs in elementary schools. Or maybe you dumbasses do. Regardless, the Bill of Rights is based on the 10 Commandments, which is based on Christianity.

Not being able to see your bias, hypocrisy and willful ignorance in this statement is what is wrong with this country.

Satanic after-school clubs are usually established in a school district in response to the presence of religious clubs, such as the Christian evangelical bible group the Good News Club. The temple says it “does not believe in introducing religion into public schools and will only open a club if other religious groups are operating on campus”.

One of Christians' proclaimed responsibilities is to force their thought process on to others, vailed as spreading the word of the "lord."

Ying meet yang.

“Founding fathers couldn’t have anticipated what religion would like 250 years later so can’t broadly interpret the first amendment.”

I’m sure you apply this exact same logic to your view of the second amendment too right?

So the 1st amendment only goes as far as what you agree with.

Anything you disagree with is no longer covered in the 1st amendment.

Got it. I appreciate you, the anti American and anti 1st amendment pioneer, schooling me on this.

It’s elementary school, so kids can’t go unless their parents say so and agree to pick them up late. Probably helps go ahead and label the weirdos so everyone knows who to make fun of.

I've got no problem saying I don't want to share a country with people that equate Christianity with satanism. Christians are treated like complete garbage in today's society and anyone paying attention knows that multiple forces seek the complete destruction of religion of any kind in America, but especially Christianity.

I understand your arguments, your legalese, and your loopholes. It is my personal opinion that our founding fathers had zero intention of this kind of nonsense. I understand that's not something many people are going to agree with, and if this is the way our court system wants to "interpret" the situation, I no longer have use or trust for that system, and my vote, whether it be by ballot or by blood, would be to leave that system behind.

Kinda makes you think people should just mind their own business and not worry about what other are doing with their religion or whatever, doesn't it?

Cmon dude it’s obvious. They both have ten in the name. Clearly they’re essentially identical documents.

You read this and actually think the school had a say and you'd move your kid to another school thinking the other school could stop this?

not directed at you Corinthians, but there is a LOT of folks in this thread that has never even looked at the message behind the Satanic Temple, much less are interested in learning.

I have read into them, and even though I do not, nor would follow them, there is a HUGE difference between what they actually stand for, and what the "moral" police paint them to be.

the world would be a better place if people took the time to understand others.....not support.....not condone, but to at least approach things with an open mind and make an effort to learn and grow - rather than denouncing those they do not agree with.

you mean Kinda like how Christianity treated the Pagans and took over their beliefs and traditions and made them their own? how about how they treated Wiccan's and denounced witchcraft, and wrote "thou shalt not suffer witch to live" - only to use "witches" for various purposes that served Christianity?

you cannot play the victim card for Christianity, when they are reaping what they sewed across history.
