agreed and I hope they sue and win millions
Sue and win millions for what? The chief can fire them for conduct unbecoming an officer and all they can do is appeal it to the civil service board. If the board overturns it they get back pay.

Prem Burns wanted more due process but commends police chief for being swift. Liberal count.

Truth.
Have the officers been on paid leave since the incident? I doubt they have much trouble securing a job, especially since they likely have known this was coming for a while.

Which poor bastards are going to draw the short straw to do the live remote from the Triple S for the 10:00 news?

I'm curious if the officers will be held to the standard of the "new policies" or to the standard of the policies in place during the incident. It sounded like the mayor wanted the new policies applied to the chief's decision. I don't think the union will be too happy about that.

This fricking idiot is supposed to be looking out for Baton Rouge and yet is going to have us paying out settlements to every remotely interested party.

Brooms is gonna make sure the officers are fired... it's already a done deal.... very sad that this will happen even though they were just doing their jobs by protecting the public.... she thinks firing these guys will help keep peace....

That doesnt sound legal to me.
You cant make a new rule and then fire me for doing what was legal at the time.

frick that. Saint Alton would rob you and kill you without a second thought all the while costing hard working taxpayers money by never being a contributing member of society while reproducing like animals in the wild. I will ALWAYS gloat and celebrate when a pos like that is no longer on this earth.
Sorry you feel that way. Going to pray for you. No reason to be so hate filled.
