Broome has a HUGE incentive to keep everyone calm and civil because she knows the St George people are watching this like hawks.

I said it earlier, but they'll probably find some arbitrary policy that was broken and use it as just cause for the firing.

Firing the cops doesn't seem like it would do much to keep people calm and civil because then its going to make it seem like she's admitting that the cops were in the wrong and still avoided charges in the eyes of the protesters.
